Mushroom manchurian


Mushroom manchurian is a great appetizer to make your meal more enticing. Serve this as an appetizer in a special evening meal or even at a get-together and I can assure that it will win everyones hearts. Soft mushroom coated with a spicy covering and then tossed in some peppers and sauce makes this really interesting. It is very quick and easy to make so you can serve even when you have last-minute guests

This recipe takes very little and the best part is that it can help you make a very big batch with no extra troubles. Quick to make and very yummy to eat is the speciality that will sure pull you towards this dish next time you have some mushroom in hand

  


Serves... 4 ppl
Serve option... Hot

This is what u'll need...

Mushroom - 8-10 buttons
All-purpose flour/Maida - 2 tbspn
Corn flour - 2 tbspn
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tspn
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Oil - for frying
Salt to taste

For sauce->
Garlic cloves - 3
Onion - 1 small 
Capsicum - 1 small
Ketchup - 1 tbspn
Soya sauce - 1/2 tspn
Sugar - 1/2 tspn

Here is the stir....

  • Add 2 tablespoon of corn flour and 2 tablespoon of all-purpose flour to a wide bowl

  • Spoon in 1/2 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste to the flour mix
  • Add kashmiri red chilli powder, salt and red chilli powder to the flour


  • Pour water little by little and make a think but flowing batter

  • Clean and slice mushroom into bite-sized pieces
  • Toss the sliced mushrooms into the batter bowl, few at a time
  • Heat oil in a kadhai. Coat each mushroom piece with batter and slide them into hot oil
  • Fry them till done and then drain them paper towels. Repeat the same till you have fried all the mushroom slices. Once mushroom is ready keep it aside
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a flat pan. Chop 3 cloves of garlic finely and toss it into the hot oil. Make sure the flame is on high and the garlics are one in a few seconds
  • Add diced onions to the pan and stir it around for a few seconds
  • Dice the capsicum and put them in the pan too
  • Add 1/2 tspn of sugar to the veggies and toss it around
  • Pour a tablespoon of ketchup and a teaspoon of soya sauce to the pan

  • Fry everything for a minute on high flame and then add the fried mushrooms to it

  • Give everything one quick final toss and its ready
  • Serve hot as an appetizer and enjoy eating


                                                  Note: 
                                                  • It doesnt take long to cook the mushrooms so just a minute or little more should be enough to cook
                                                  • You can add different coloured peppers to make it more special
                                                  • Add a pinch of food colour to get restaurant style colour effect
