Dominos Burger pizza...

Dominos Burger Pizza has been our favourite from the first time we ever tried this. All of us fell in love with this, especially the kids. Its the perfect way to enjoy both our favourites in one recipe ... burger and pizza. So we tried this at home some time backa and it was huge success. Every time I make it I have had unexpected guests and I never got a chance to click pictures at all. This time I made sure I will do all the prep work earlier than usual so that I can relax and click pictures too. It turns out so good that you will love it more once you make it at home. My kids always say that homemade burger pizzas are the bestest and cheesiest ones ever

The recipe is very easy if you already make pizza or buns. The basic need is just pizza dough and some stuffing. You can add whatever toppings/stuffings and as much ever as you want. We love paneer and peppers in ours so we use that most of the time. Well you can always make the bun ahead of time and then do the assembling just before serving. Its easy that way as you wont feel you are spending a lot of time in the kitchen :)

I have mixed pictures from 2-3 batches as I could never click any batch completely :)

Serves... 4 ppl
Serve option... Hot

This is what u'll need...

All-purpose flour/Maida - 2 cup
Yeast - 1 tspn
Sugar - 1 tbspn
Salt - 1/2 tspn

For stuffing ->
Onion - 1 small
Red capsicum - 1/4
Yellow capsicum - 1/4
Green Capsicum  -1/4
Paneer - as needed
Red chilli flakes - 1/4 tspn
Dried herbs - 1/4 tspn
Mayonaisse - 2 tbspn
Tomato ketchup - 2 +1 tbspn
Cheese cubes - 4
Oil - 1 tspn
Salt to taste

Here is the stir....
  • Measure 2 cups of all-purpose flour/maida and a teaspoon of salt into a wide bowl. Activate yeast by dissolving 1 teaspoon yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in half a cup of lukewarm water. When the yeast is activated add it to the flour and knead it for 10-15 minutes into a very soft dough. For detailed instructions on how to make the dough click on this link -> Pizza Dough. For detailed instructions on how to activate/proof yeast click on this link -> How to proof yeast

  • Keep this dough covered in a warm place till it doubles or triples in volume
  • Punch out the air from the dough and knead it lightly
  • Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll each part into a tight ball. Flatten it lightly to get a flat top and a short bun. We dont want the bun to rise too tall but it should be large and flat
  • Place this on a baking tray and let it rise for about 35-45 minutes
  • During the last 10 minutes of rising preheat the oven at 180 degrees
  • Brush the dough with some milk and sprinkle some mixed herbs on top
  • Bake this for 22-25 minutes or until the top of the bun gets a beautiful golden colour
  • Remove the bun from the baking tray and put it on a wire rack to cool
  • To make the stuffing/filling heat a teaspoon of oil in a nonstick pan. Add small diced onion pieces into it and saute for about 30 seconds on high flame
  • Chop bell peppers into small dices and toss them into the pan. I have all red, yellow and green peppers. You can use any or all of them as you want. Saute this for about a minute or two
  • Add salt, red chilli flakes and mixed herbs

  • Pour 2 tablespoon of ketchup into the pan and give it a good mix
  • Cube paneer into small pieces and toss it into the pan. Give everything one final gentle stir and turn off the flame. Keep aside until ready to use

  • Cut the bun carefully into 2 pieces
  • Spread a layer of mayonaisse and then a layer of tomato ketchup on both sides of the bun

  • Add a layer of grated cheese on the bottom half of the buns
  • Divide the paneer and pepper mixture equally on all the buns
  • Add another layer of cheese on top the filling
  • Put a small spoon of cheese spread on top the filling
  • Place the top layer of the bun on top of the filling and press it down gently
  • Drizzle a little oil on top of the bun and also sprinkle a little seasoning again
  • Bake this in a 180 degrees preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts
  • Remove from oven and serve with love

                                                                Note:
                                                                • Press the dough balls flat else they will rise tall
                                                                • Filling can be your choice and you can use more or less cheese as desired
                                                                • Every oven is different so keep an eye on the after it crosses 20 minutes
