Spicy Mushroom Paneer wrap

Wraps and parathas are my kids favourite. Just make a nice stuffing loaded with veggies. Put is inside a chapathi as a paratha or as a wrap and the kids just keep beam with smiles all the while they are eating it. Its loaded with veggies but the kids dont even fuss about eating it. This one is a new favourite in our home and the kids have been wanting to eat more and more of it :) They love to carry it for their school snack too

The ingredients are all very simple ones that are usually available in every kitchen pantry. Slice veggies, toss them with very limited spices and some ketchup and then wrap it up for a very delicious meal. Mushrooms and paneer in combination taste heavenly and you will know as soon as you take the first bite of it. I bet you will relish this wrap till you have just the wrapper left in our hand never knowing how you finished off the wrap before you even knew it

Serves... 3 ppl
Serve option... Hot

This is what u'll need...

Chapathis/Phulkas - 3
Onion - 2
Red bell pepper - 1/2 of small
Yellow bell pepper - 1/2 of small
Green bell pepper- 1/2 of small
Mushrooms - 10-12 buttons
Red chilli flakes - 1 tspn
Mixed herbs - 1 tspn
Paneer cubes - 1/2 cup
Tomato ketchup - 2 tbspn
Mayonaisse - 3 tbspn
Oil - 1 tbspn
Salt to taste

Here is the stir....
  • Use whole wheat flour phulkas to make the wrap. Smear them with ghee once you remove them to a plate and while they are still hot. Using ghee keeps the phulkas softer for a longer time especially when kids carry them to school
  • Pour a tablespoon of oil into a flat pan. Add thickly sliced onions into the hot oil. Saute this on high flame for about 2 minutes
  • Slice the bell peppers. I have red, yellow and green bell peppers for better taste. When I used only green peppers the wrap tasted a little different. Toss the peppers into the pan and cook it for about 2 minutes
  • Slice the mushroom and add them to the pan. Cook them for about 5 minutes
  • Season it with salt, red chilli flakes and some mixed herbs. Mix well

  • Add paneer cubes and 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup to the pan and give everything one final toss

  • To make the wrap take one chapathi and put some filling in the center
  • Add some mayonaisse, not too much. Roll it up and make it into a wrap
  • Serve your loved ones with a smile and enjoy your meal/snack

                                  Note:
                                  • Keep the flame high when tossing veggies
                                  • Add more red chilli flakes and herbs if you want it more spicy
                                  • Add little mayonaisse to make it special but add just a little and not too much
